Japanese Delegation at ILH

December 6, 2024

Last week, the Institute of Robust Power Semiconductor Systems (ILH) had the privilege of hosting a delegation from three esteemed Japanese universities: Waseda University, Gifu University, and Nagoya Institute of Technology. This visit was part of the ASPIRE program, an initiative by the Japanese government aimed at fostering international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The focus of the visit centered on a shared research interest in Terahertz (THz) communication technologies. During their time at ILH, PhD students from the ILH  and the visiting students and professors presented their respective research projects, showcasing the latest advancements and innovative approaches.
The visit also included guided tours of our research facilities, where the delegates explored our millimeter-wave (mmW) communication laboratories and power electronics laboratories. These tours offered the visitors an in-depth look at our research infrastructure and ongoing projects, highlighting the capabilities and resources available at ILH to support advanced research in communication and power systems.
This exchange not only strengthened ties between our institutions but also reinforced our collective commitment to advancing THz communication technology through international collaboration and shared expertise.
