Successful PhD defense "Design of Frequency-Converting Monolithic Integrated Circuits for Millimeter-Wave Applications"

Congratulations to Dr.-Ing. Christopher Grötsch from the entire team at ILH, on the successful defense of his PhD thesis “Design of Frequency-Converting Monolithic Integrated Circuits for Millimeter-Wave Applications”. The thesis thoroughly investigates various frequency-converter architectures in the millimeter-wave range (220 to 330 GHz) and their integration in fully functional receiver circuits to facilitate future radar and beyond-5G/6G communication systems. Christopher worked as a research assistant at ILH for almost 5 years, and conducted research mainly in the field of large-signal circuit analysis and design of analog frequency conversion circuits up to 300 GHz.
