ILH on top of Germany!

A part of the ILH team visited on 22.03.2021 Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze (2962m) for the kick-off meetings in the EIVE-T project, in search for Antennas positions for the E-Band data transmissions. Multiple experiments are planned in the upcoming 12 months from Zugspitze, Schneefernhaus and Kempten.
The common goal of the proposed experiments is an in-depth study of atmospheric attenuation, rain patterns, and probability functions for the E-band frequency range (71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz) to provide a clear roadmap for system developers. The project started in March 2021 and it is financed by the Federal Ministry of Economy Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) under grant number 50YB2101.
