Mission Complete | MTT-Sat Challenge Ends at IMS 2023

June 30, 2023

At IMS 2023 in San Diego, the IEEE MTT-Sat Challenge came to an end. Over the last four years, we competed over several phases with our proposal "W-Band GaN PA with Pre-Distortion and Efficiency Enhancement Based on GaN DC/DC Variable Power Supply for Space Applications" and were fortunate to be one of the three finalists. During IMS 2023 we had the opportunity to showcase our 2-unit CubeSat hardware demonstrator at the exhibition and present our final results as part of a special session.
Even though we couldn't secure the first place, we are happy that we came that far. Sincere congratulations to our Japanese colleagues for winning the challenge!

Thanks to Markus Gardill and Holger Maune for organizing and coordinating this innovative challenge!

Thanks to our partners Fraunhofer IAF and Radiometer Physics GmbH for their support throughout the project!

A special thanks to Keysight Technologies and Matthias Kohler for providing instrumentation for our booth at the IMS exhibition!
