As part of its large-equipment initiative, the German Research Foundation (DFG) is funding new measurement systems for ultra-high data rate applications and future communication technologies. At the University of Stuttgart, an innovative and versatile measurement platform has been developed together with Keysight Technologies Inc. and Virginia Diodes Inc., which combines broadband time and frequency domain measurements. The system is intended to be used to research new technologies like 6G that are needed to achieve the ultra-high data rates required for increasing digitalization. The platform is operated by the Institute of Robust Power Semiconductor Systems (Prof. Ingmar Kallfass) and the Institute of Electrical and Optical Communication Engineering (Dr. Markus Grözing) at the University of Stuttgart.
